About

My practice up until this point has been material led and deeply linked to the process of making sculptural works. I have an affinity with the notion of process and my work often evolves from material experimentation.

I have gathered many different practical skills; mostly due to my interest in the act of creating work and how the processes involved can be equally, if not more important than the final outcome. This preoccupation with process has meant that I have gathered skills in various different disciplines- my toolkit if you will. Metalworking, casting, ceramics, CAD and 3D printing all of which I use in my work as required.

I often explore the idea of equilibrium in my work; creating a sense of balance by combining controlled and uncontrollable elements. This approach fits well with my current directional shift in practice: combining existing/familiar ways of working with new skills- thus creating a known/unknown dynamic.
